During the pre-match press conference, Patel remarked, “Shubman has been exceptional. His presence within the team speaks volumes; there’s no need for me to elaborate on his current form. He’s not only scoring runs but also taking charge both on and off the field.”
Patel further acknowledged Gill's leadership qualities, stating that his influence is palpable in the dressing room. “He dedicates considerable time to mentoring younger players. You can genuinely sense Shubman’s leadership in the locker room, which is a vital trait for any captain,” he added.
